We only use industrial-strength tools when making a web site.
We do not use any tool that is:
- Made by a community of users
- Labeled freeware, shareware, openware or any other “ware”
Wouldn’t you cut costs if you used open-source?
Yes, but long-term its an expensive mistake because trends come and go. We invest a considerable amount of money in tools that are made and supported by industry leaders.
So open-source is not for business web sites?
They have their role, which is for generating content, not design. Due to their communal nature, some open-source programs have found niche applications as forums, blogs, and content managers.
